The raffle drawing was won by Cynthia, no joker. The deck is getting small, come to the meetings and participate, you could win a big pot of cash $$$
The calendar drawing winner was Dave, sold by John Tata. You can still sell calendars for the raffle. Each week there is a chance to win $50.00. We still have about 37 weeks left this year. The calendars are $20.00 for 37 chances to win $50.00 - great deal for great odds!.
Rennie and the scholarship team will be meeting on May 2nd to review student applications. Contact Rennie if you would like to assist in the application review. Remember, this will count as service hours.
Charlie has been working with Club Runner, and indicated that there is a new member orientation section under the Rotary Links on Club Runner. Also, there is a section that lists our club schedule and upcoming speakers. Check it out
Charlie reminded us that the joint meeting with the Fitchburg club to recognize graduates of the Chamber of Commerce leadership institute will be held on May 23rd at Christina's Restaurant. Contact Charlie for more information. We have one past graduate of the CLT as a member of our club. Do you know who it is? Charlie is looking for four members of our club to attend.
Our speaker was Dan Adams of Dan's PC. He spoke about his business and how he changed his career focus to open his own business.
We have moved our speaker schedule for Monday to June 3rd.  We had a board meeting last week where we decided to change the venue at this meeting to discuss member participation and projects coming up.  This is an important meeting and everyone should make every attempt to make it.
Items we will discuss include the following:
Flower Box Project:  Tasks include preparing the mail merge with the letters, invoices, envelopes, repairing damaged boxes and planting the boxes.
Community Leadership Institute Project:  We will be meeting with three other clubs to educate approximately 80 young executives who have gone through this Chamber of Commerce Course.  Rotary will be used as a vehicle to teach these business people about community service and giving back to the community.  It will be used as a recruiting tool.  This event will happen on May 23d at the Oak Hill Country Club.  We need two more people to help out on this project.
Starburst:  We will have a table and handing out flags at this community event in Leominster.  It will occur at Doyle Field in Leominster.  Starburst happens on June 15 and the rain date is June 16.  Times are 4:30 to 8:00 PM.
Johnny Appleseed Fair:  September 15, 2019, in downtown Leominster.  We will have a booth all day selling clam chowder and handing out brochures on our club.
Please make every effort to attend this meeting.
